The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) Planetarium offers immersive, awe-inspiring experiences that bring the wonders of the universe down to Earth. It’s a unique destination for field trips, inspiring curiosity and exploration in visitors of all ages.
Inside this state-of-the-art multimedia theater, the domed ceiling transforms into a window to the cosmos. The planetarium can recreate the day and night sky, allowing audiences to explore a wide range of topics in astronomy, space science, and beyond.
Public programs are presented monthly in the evenings throughout the school year, offering the community a chance to journey through space together. Group programs are available during the school day, with limited opportunities for after-school and evening sessions upon request.
